WHAT RECYCLED MATERIALS DO YOU USE TO MAKE YOUR BAGS?
Our Statement Makers are made using coated recycled paper and recycled PET plastic for the straps. We use colorful recycled juice packs for our Juicy Hand Woven line. The juice packs – not juice boxes! – are the collapsible kind that you just stick a straw in and slurp from, like a Capri Sun. The recycled rice sacks used for our Rice Sack Graphics bags have those amazing graphics already printed on them – we don’t do any screen printing. They’re just that gorgeous all on their own.

HOW DO I KEEP MY BEAUTIFUL HANDBAG LOOKING LIKE NEW?
Our Juicy Hand Woven bags are completely waterproof - the packs were made to hold juice, after all. Even the silver ones are woven from juice-packs turned inside-out! Our Rice Sack Graphics handbags are sturdy, too, since they were made to carry 50 or 100 lbs of rice. So if you get dirt or liquid on your bag, just wipe it off with a damp sponge. The same thing applies to our Statement Makers bags, though you don’t want to get caught out in the rain with these if you can help it. Nylon and plastic are as clean-able as they are un-biodegradable – but they also don't like extreme heat, so please don't put any of them washing machine or dryer. (We know that sounds obvious, but people have, believe it or not!)

DO THE BAGS VARY IN APPEARANCE?
With our Statement Makers, what you see is exactly what you get. Each of our Juicy Hand Woven handbags made from recycled juice packs is created by hand, so each one is unique and the colors may vary somewhat - but they are all equally vibrant and beautiful. The larger Rice Sack Graphics handbags made from recycled rice sacks will always have the same graphic you see in our online store. The smaller handbags in our rice sack line, however, may vary a bit because we recycle as many colorful inches from each rice sack as possible. These smaller bags include the Sports Pouches, Cozy Coin Purses and the All-in-One Wallets.

WHY ARE WE ECO- AND HUMAN-FRIENDLY?
Because global warming is now so clearly a planet-wide emergency, up-and-coming generations will recycle reflexively. Naturally, they’ll be surrounded by things that not only use renewable energy but also contain recycled materials. Handbags, clothing, stationery, lampshades – you name it, it’ll contain some sort of reused stuff. We really think it’s the next step in human evolution, and a very necessary one. We also think it’ll lead to a New Economy and could potentially lead to another boom the size of the tech boom in the ‘90’s. Wouldn’t that be fun – as well as oh-so-beneficial?

WHO MAKES YOUR HANDBAGS?
We’re proud to carry Green America’s Seal of Approval! All our Rebagz are made under fair labor conditions over in the Philippines. Rebagz creator Marty Stevens-Heebner has made several trips over there to personally meet with the organizations and companies that make her bags and to see the working conditions for herself.

Returns and exchanges: We do not accept returns at this time. However, we are happy to exchange one item for a similarly priced one. Simply contact us by phone or e-mail and we will arrange the exchange with you. (We're sorry but shipping charges are non-refundable.) Colors of the Rebagz™ may vary slightly due to availability of the recycled materials.
